As I read the latest email newsletter, I realized what a resource they were for writers. This week's update included at list of more than 200 conferences and residence programs. A link is given so you can browse their data base.
In this week's newsletter, there were calls for contest entries, features on authors and reading groups, and ads for writing jobs. In the spotlight is mystery author Dana Stabenow's new Writer in Residence program in her home state of Alaska.
Takeaway Truth
Even though I write genre fiction, I always read Poets & Writers email newsletter. It makes me feel connected to the world of writers, much as The Authors Guild and Romance Writers of America do.
