Happy Friday - Let's Laugh

I seem to have started a series of Friday posts built around humor.

Let's end the week with a chuckle.

The wise words quoted here are from the talented actress, Sharon Stone.

I don't know if she's the first to have said this, or if a comedian is actually the source of this witticism.

In any event, it's funny—and true.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

Wishing you a great weekend. I've got a fabulous recipe for you tomorrow.

See you Saturday, here on SlingWords.

Thursday3Some - Fiction Popularity

Today I thought I'd share 3 statistics about the books readers are buying.

Everyone has a favorite genre of fiction. Within your chosen genre, you probably have a specific type of story you want to read.

That can be called a sub-genre. You might call it plot or theme or premise.

In the Mystery genre, common sub-genres are cozy, police procedural, suspense, and thriller.

In the Romance genre, common sub-genres are sweet, spicy, romantic suspense, historical, etc.

All of the sub-genres are broken down by an aspect of the story or plot. In Romance, some of the most popular are small town, second chance, marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers, and dozens more. With Romance, this is one of the reasons it's the most popular genre in the world. Yes, that's right. In the entire world. (Stats come from Alex Newton's K-lytics reports. If you're an author or want to be one, I strongly urge you to research your favorite genre with Alex's reports.

3 FACTS ABOUT THE MOST POPULAR FICTION GENRE

1. the most popular genre on Amazon Kindle is romance with sales of the category increasing every year over the previous year.

2. More than half of the Top-400 most sold Kindle books are romance titles. That's why you often see new dedicated categories within the Romance Fiction category.

3. The majority of authors of these Romance novels are self-published.

Hump Day Humor - Questioning Grandma

If you love Small Town Romance, you're going to love this story. I posted it many years ago, but I found it still lurking in an old folder in my file cabinet.

It made me laugh out loud again so I thought I'd share it with today's audience because many of you have joined in the last 10 years and probably hae never read this.

ORIGIN OF THIS STORY / JOKE / INCIDENT

I honestly don't know if this was a joke or story someone made up. I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually a true event because I know several grandmotherly types in my hometown who would have acted exactly like this!

One of my friends who grew up with me in our small Southern town sent this to me. He and I could probably name more than a dozen women, heck, make that two or three dozen, who could be the Southern grandma at the heart of this story. But let me stop talking and format the rest of this post.

SOUTHERN GRANDMA IN COURTROOM

Lawyers should never ask a Southern grandma a question if they aren't prepared for the answer.

In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand.

He approached her and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know me?"

She responded, "Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a young boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you never will amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you."

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?"

She again replied, "Why, yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him."

The defense attorney almost died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice, said, "If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you to the electric chair."

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

Yes, dear readers, ladies like that still inhabit small southern towns.  So, never ask one a question if you don't want an unfiltered, strictly honest answer.

Review - Stuart Fails To Save the Universe - HBO Max

Remember The Big Bang Theory? I do. Occasionally, I'll watch an episode of that hilarious series on HBO Max

I guess there are so many fans of the now-defunct series that Chuck Lorre, the genius who created the series, decided a sequel would find a following too.

Thus, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe was born. I stumbled across it a week ago. Of course, I had to see what this American science fiction comedy TV series created by Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Pradyit was all about.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is the third spinoff of The Big Bang—first was Young Sheldon then Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage,  and now Stuart's series.

This latest entry in The Big Bang franchise premiered on HBO Max on July 23, 2026.

It's premise? Stuart Bloom accidentally damaged a device created by Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter and Howard Wolowitz.

Therefore, Stuart must prevent a "multiverse Armageddon" and save the Universe by traveling through various alternate realities to change his own reality. In each new reality, he encounters friends and acquaintances from his own reality.

To be honest, this series seems like a love poem to The Big Bang, because it brings back the quirky characters from that series. It's like having a family reunion with all the weird cousins showing up. Look at the Cast below, and you'll see what I mean.

MAIN CHARACTERS

Kevin Sussman as Stuart Bloom and as Alternate Stuart Bloom.

Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Stuart's true love.

Brian Posehn as Bert Kibbler, the very large and boring geologist.

John Ross Bowie as Barry Kripke, the hilarious egotistical physicist.

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS

  • Ryan Cartwright as Kyle.
  • Josh Brener as Trevor.
  • Tommy Walker as Gary.
  • Riki Lindhome as Alternate Ramona Nowitzki, another weird physicist.
  • Brian Thomas Smith as Alternate Zack Johnson, just as dumb as the original.
  • Matty Cardarople as Keith.
  • Louis Mustillo as Alexa.
  • Joshua Malina, Caltech President Siebert will show up, along with Jon Cryer.

SPECIAL GUEST STARS

Kunal Nayyar as Alternate Raj Koothrappali who is just as weird as original Raj.

Penn and Teller as themselves.

Kaley Cuoco as Alternate Penny, who embraces her power.

Christine Baranski as herself, rather than as Leonard's mom.

Melissa Rauch as Alternate Bernadette Rostenkowski, a giant demon which means she embraces her power too.

Wil Wheaton as Alternate Wil Wheaton—love Will Wheaton!

WHY WATCH

If you're a Big Bang fan, I don't have to tell you why you watch. If you're not a fan, watch because it's weird, the episodes are short, and each episode gets better than the previous. Watch because the title creds alone are funny, creative, and different—they are an inside joke aimed at the entire audience that tries to skip over the credits.

The first 3 episodes I watched are: Episode 1, Spoiler: Gary Dies; Episode 2, Spoiler: Zack's In This One; and Episode 3: Bert's Magic. A new episode will drop every week.

MY THOUGHTS

If I weren't a fan of the original series, I don't know that I'd have watched the second episode. Once Barry Kripke, played by the talented John Ross Bowie, shows up, I was hooked.

Every scene with Kripke in Episode 2 is a belly laugh, side-splitter. If you've been looking for something different, give this a try. Watch the first 3 episodes, and I think you'll want to watch the rest.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

Like most streaming series, the future of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe depends on the audience numbers. I don't know if this series has enough promise to carry what seems like a one-joke premise into the future, but if anyone can do it, Chuck Lorre can.

6 Steps to Fake It Till You Make It

We live in the NOW, but we want something different TOMORROW, but YESTERDAY often holds us back.

Does that describe you?

Do you want more out of life? Do you want to be MORE...whatever that may mean?

Some people struggle to even believe they can make their dreams come true. They can't see themselves as any more than what they are today.

Those are the people that need to heed the advice often spouted in humor: "Fake it till you make it." They don't know that really means to imagine that person who does something amazing and to act like that person.

One must create a greater vision of self before it will ever become reality. The easiest way to do that is by acting like that person you want to be. To fake it until it's true in reality. "But," you ask. "How do I fake something like that?"

What follows is my advice to someone who wants to be a writer. Simply change the "writing" to whatever you want out of your life.

7 Steps to Help You Fake It Until You Make It

Step 1: Create Self-Talk That Expresses the You in the Future

Do things like look in the mirror as you're getting ready for the day and say, "I would like to thank the Readers who made this possible by buying so many books that I was catapulted onto the New York Times bestsellers list."

Or, "I'd like to thank the movie's producers for this Academy award because they took my book and adapted it for this movie." Or, whatever addresses your particular big dream.

Step Two: Dress for the Success you want.

It's no lie that when you work from a home office, you tend to dress comfortably or as in many cases, like a slob.

Instead, try dressing comfortably as well as attractively. You may be surprised that you'll accomplish more if you look a little more professional.

Step Three: Act AS IF you have already achieved your dream.

How would you act if  you were already living that life you dream about? Would you be more optimistic? More at peace with everything and everyone? Would you be calmer and less stressed? Act that way when you become frustrated or annoyed. Be that you, not the past you who's easily upset.

Step Four: Speak AS IF you are the future you.

Avoid speaking negativity. Always speak with optimism about your work, your dream, your daily routine. Have a conversation with someone about the work you're doing toward that big dream. Envision completing the work and the rewards that will come your way.

Step Five: Act By Doing 1 Tiny Task Every Day

Many people can't get going on their dreams or can't continue working toward it because they set an unrealistic task for themselves each day.

Let's get real. Instead of saying, "I'm going to write 1,000 words every day," say, "I'm going to write for 10 minutes each day." That's it. Ten minutes is easy.

Anyone can do it. It's set to be easy because getting started is the hardest action to take every day. Once you've overcome the inertia and started, you'll keep going.

Step Six: Review

When the day is done, review the day. What did you do? What did you say to yourself? What did you say to others?

How did you feel after interacting with someone in which you acted like "future you?"

How did you feel after doing your Tiny Task? Did you go past that Tiny Task?

Most important of all, did you make progress? Do you feel empowered to do the same tomorrow?

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

Use these 6 Steps whenever you need them. Keep a vision of your future self always in your mind. Go forth and conquer!

Saturday Share Recipe - Summer Squash Fry

When I was a kid, my Dad planted a huge garden every summer. When the Yellow Crookneck Squash started producing, we had enough to supply the entire neighborhood.

My Mom always cooked that delightful yellow squash, called Summer Squash by many, and made it so delicious that there were never any leftovers. We always preferred yellow squash over zucchini.

My husband's grandmother cooked squash in a similar fashion with a few additions that gave it added texture and flavor. Next week, I'll give Granny Smith's recipe.

But today, I'll tell you how my Mom cooked it and made it so delicious. Serves 6-8.

SUMMER SQUASH FRY

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of yellow squash, sliced in rounds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 strips of bacon
  • 1 small bell pepper, any color, diced
  • 1 medium to large onionm diced
Directions
1. Fry the bacon until crisp, remove to a paper towel and crumble the bacon.

2. In the fat that was rendered from the bacon, saute the bell pepper and onion until translucent. Remove and save to add back in a bit.

3. Add the sliced squash to the pan and stir fry over medium to high heat until the squash is softened.
Add the bell pepper and onion back to the frying pan and continue cooking so that the onion begins to caramelize. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.

4. Add the crumbled bacon to the squash. Serve hot.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

I love vegetables because I grew up eating them fresh from the garden. Produce in stores can't hold a candle to fresh from the garden. That's why I always have a kitchen garden.

Happy Friday - Laughter For You

End the work week with a laugh that, for a romance author, sounds like inspiration for a romcom!

I made the Quote Graphic so you could copy and print it if you wish.

This comes from Sally Poplin, who isn't a "real" person.

Sally Poplin is a fictitious humorist often cited in British and international books of quotations.

"She" is best known for witty one-liners about marriage, modern dating, and personal finance.

Now you know if you see quotations allegedly by Sally Poplin, that she is a made-up person.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

Who do you think is the wit behind her—a real person or an AI entity?

Thursday3Some - 3 Tips To Train Your Focus

If you're like me and behind on everything AND feeling as if there are a dozen high priority things you should be doing BUT you don't know where to start, here are...

3 TIPS TO TRAIN YOUR FOCUS

1. Make a list of every single thing you think you should do. Write it down, don't just think about it and so your brain is spinning around.

2. Look at the list—I mean really look at it. Now, go item by item on the list and mark everything that needs to be done right now—today—with a big N.

Anything that can be done by the end of  the weekend, mark L for Later.

Anything that really isn't crucial, but it would be nice to do it before the month is over, mark O for Optional.

3. Take your list and write it again. That's right curate your list. Put NOW items at the top, listed in the priority of importance. Later items are next, also listed by how important they are to get done before the month is over. Optional items are last. In looking at them, decide if it's really something you must do or can it be delegated? In fact, is it something that really must be done at all?

Bonus Tip: Keep your curated list where you can read it in the morning to train your focus on what is most important and then in the evening before you head to bed so you can pat yourself on the back because you're using your time effectively.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

The ability to prioritize how you spend your time is a hallmark of success.

EAT DESSERT FIRST?

Happy Wednesday! Enjoy this Hump Day post.

When I was a kid, I read one of those funny lines you see on buttons and tee shirts. It said: "Life is short. Eat dessert first."

I think that’s why so many people struggle in life—they want to eat dessert first rather than start at the beginning of the meal and enjoy each course that’s served.

Of course, I’m describing those who want to start at the top and who don’t seem to understand that no one really starts at the top—unless they’re the offspring of the company founder or a prodigy of some sort and perhaps not even then.

PAYING DUES

You know about paying due or whatever you choose to call the process of beginning, making mistakes, and learning. Some way or other, everyone pays their dues. Doctors start as interns before they become the leading doctor at a hospital. First year lawyers start out at the bottom pecking order of law firms. Electricians start out as apprentices. Writers start out as newbies trying to hack out a writing career and build an audience for their work.

Anyone who thinks he or she can jump into a high status position at a corporation or be rewarded by an ownership role in a small independent company—or become a bestselling author overnight—just doesn’t realize what the world is all about.

Whether you’re a corporate accountant, a bank teller, or a writer publishing a first book, you need to understand that success is not made overnight. Success is made by baby steps then bigger steps and sometimes leaps forward every now and then. Consistency of action leads to progress.

If you enjoy each leg of the journey, not impatiently striving to leap over steps, you’ll find more satisfaction in your career—and in life—than someone who is never satisfied and constantly longing for more, more, more.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

If Life is a seven-course dinner, then savor and enjoy the appetizers before moving on to the soup. The pleasure that comes from each “course” will keep you satisfied and inspired to experience the next stage in your career and in Life when it comes along. That's my 2¢ opinion. What do you think?

Ride or Die, an American TV series billed as action adventure comedy, is an Amazon Prime exclusive.

MY THOUGHTS

Although this series premiered on July 15, 2026, I didn't watch it until this past weekend. I have mixed emotions about this series. So, let's start with the Pros.

Love the premise—2 women who have been best friends for many years. They think they know everything there is to know about each other, but they don't because 1 is in a dead-end marriage and the other is a paid killer.

Love the settings—from London to Monte Carlo to other European cities.

Love the acting—how can you go wrong with Waddingham, Spencer, Skrein, and Nighy? Waddingham and Skrein together are believable. So is the friendship between Waddingham and Spencer. Nighy has had a lot of experience playing amoral villains with a minute glimpse of human emotion that shows he has a human heart.

Now, the Cons.  Character actions—Too many scenes where characters simply do not behave as humans would act and react. They act and react like cardboard characters that the script says should do or say this in this scene.

Moving the Plot Forward—Transitions between scenes are eleminated. This happens frequently in today's movie making world.

A character is in a scene doing something then boom. They're in a different location undertaking what the character must need to move the plot forward. This kind of jerks the plot along.

Scene Logic—Characters end up doing things that don't seem realistic given who the characters are as they've been established.

Humor—Billed as an action adventure comedy, this series is amusing in places, but I wouldn't call it a comedy. Action adventure comedy is a hard act to pull off.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

Should you watch it or skip it? I picked it because there were no really good options.

If you watch it for the acting chops, the action adventure with Waddingham really pulling her weight, and don't look for the comedy or the logic, you'll find it entertaining and be clicking next episode every time.

6 Ways to Take A Break Without Killing Your Career

In this world of FOMO, it's hard to think about taking a step away from the daily grind.

We're all afraid that we'll be forgotten if we miss a day or two from social media.

Fear of missing out afflicts more than the social media addicts. As Authors, we're afraid readers will forget we exist.

So what is one to do when faced with adversity or with a daily routine that has become an exhausting daily grind? That's when the going gets really tough, and all we want to do is slam the door on our offices and escape.

Do you know that old Billy Ocean song from the late 1980's, When the Going Gets Tough? If you don't know the song, let me tell you that it's from an old cliché, and the next part of that cliché is,  The Tough get going.

Sometimes, we can power our way through tiredness, boredom, adversity, and just feeling funky.

As an author, I can tell you there are times when we’re all tired of fighting for focused time to write, fighting for good reviews, fighting for good ad space, and all the other battles we fight.

Sure, we're Tough, but there comes a time when we need to step out of the boxing ring of life and take a breather.

This may sound crazy when all the motivational gurus constantly tell us to figure a way to have it all, work when you don’t feel like working, go for it. Sure, sometimes you must strive in the face of adversity, when you’re sick, when you’re sad, when your world is falling apart around you, but if you do that all the time, you're headed for a great big bonfire of burnout.

There's no shame in taking a break. The trick is to do that without letting it turn into something as permanent as concrete.

6 Ways to Take a Break Without Killing Your Career

1. Set limits. Write down how many days off you’re taking. If you worked a job, you’d have to tell the boss how many vacation days you wanted. You are you’re own boss so write down how many days you’ll be away from the office.

Don't let a break turn into endless days of drifting. Mark your calendar for the day you return to your career.

2. Make it real. If you plan on vacationing from work for 2 days then don’t do any work on those days. No constant checking social media or emails or any of that stuff that sucks the life out of you.

3. Figure out where you’re going when you return to work. Take some time to think about the road you’re on. Is it the right road headed in the right direction? It's easy to get overwhelmed if you're trying to get something or somewhere that isn’t realistic. Goals change. Is it time to re-evaluate your goals or maybe set different goals?

4. Check your attitude. While you’re taking a break from your work, take a break from disrespecting yourself—or anyone else.

I’ve known writers who never had a kind word to say about others or even about themselves. They trash talk about themselves in ways they'd never talk about other people.

All that negativity and whining takes an enormous amount of energy. Resolve to cut that crap out!!! Self-talk determines your success in life. Learn to be kind to yourself.

5. Celebrate every win. No matter how small an achievement may be, acknowledge it and celebrate it in some way.

Set up a system of milestones and rewards. I don't mean pop a hundred dollar bottle of bubbly, but do bask in the glory of an achievement no matter how small. Success is built one baby step at a time.

6. Live your life. Be present. Live today. Don't get caught in the trap of regretting what you didn't get done yesterday or the publishing gravy train you missed because your manuscript wasn’t ready. Don't wait for your ship to come in because you may be at the train station.

Enjoy every step of the journey and be happy—be present in your life—now.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

The time spent on the journey will always be longer than the time spent at the destination.

Learn to enjoy the journey and take a break when you need to recharge your batteries.

Saturday Share Recipe - Fat Rascals

I'm having a busy Saturday. How is yours?

I still have potatoes in the pantry so here's another recipe using this beloved spud.

Today was the day I jumped back into my workout program. Walking, weight lifting, and exhausting myself this morning.

That's why I didn't get this recipe for FAT RASCALS posted in time for you to make it for lunch, but save this recipe.

You're probably wondering what Fat Rascals is. Right? It's an old-fashioned fried potato dish. If you like French fries, you'll love Fat Rascals which is  great as a hot appetizer or as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 5 small red raw potatoes, grated on a box grater (Yes, you can use Idaho potatoes—probably grated raw potato to make 2 cups. I've not used Idaho before so that's my guesstimate.)
  • 2 tablespoons AP flour
  • 5 tablespoons grated cheese like Parmesan, sharp cheddar, etc.
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • optional, dash of cayenne
  • optional, dash of paprika

Directions

In a heavy sauce pan or a deep fryer, heat cooking oil until it's 350°F. (175°C.).

Beat the eggs and add in all the other ingredients, mixing well. This batter should not be too souply. It should hold together so it can be dropped by spoonfuls into the hot oil. If it seems too thin, add more flour, a teaspoon at a time.

Drop from a spoon into the hot oil. Fry until light brown. Serve hot.

This is especially good served with sour cream or cheese sauce.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

I don't know where the name of this recipe came from, but I can imagine a white-haired granny of yesteryear saying, "Wash up for dinner before the Fat Rascals get cold!"

Weird Things Happen on Friday

Whee! It's Friday, the doorway to the weekend. Isn't it amazing how people lust after Fridays? Like the song says, "Just working for the weekend."

I was reading an article about Friday the 13th, the historical event involving the Knights Templar, and decided to see how many weird things happen on Fridays.

To my surprise, I found a treasure trove of trivia. Let's get started with the Knights Templar. Read on and be amazed.

1. On Friday, October 13, 1307, King Philip IV of France had hundreds of the powerful Knights Templar arrested. That event is often cited as the origin of the Friday the 13th superstition.

2.  Security data shows companies are disproportionately hacked or hit with phishing scams on Fridays because that's when IT staffs, like all the other employees, leave for the weekend.

3. Seafarers have long believed it was bad luck to start a new voyage on a Friday.

4. In the USA, TGIF means "Thank God It's Friday" whereas in Australia and the UK, Friday is known as POETS Day, "Piss Off Early Tomorrow's Saturday."

5, In the USA, the crazy mad rush in stores on the day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday because the first such event actually resulted in the death of a retail employee in 2008 in Valley Stream, New York.

He was crushed to death in the stampede of 2,000+ shoppers when the doors opened at midnight.

6. The expression “Man Friday” comes from the character Friday in the novel Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. The phrase is used to describe a particularly loyal and/or competent male personal assistant.

What Defines a Hero?

What is a hero? As a romance author, I think about heroes a lot because each romance novel calls for a hero.

In this post, I'm talking about the male hero, not the female "she-ro" who can be as heroic as any man.

Is a Hero the man in the picture to the left? He's got looks and muscles. Does that make him a hero?

People claim rock stars, actors, singers, and other celebrities as heroes. Many adopt professional athletes as heroes as if extreme success in a manly sport plus likeable personality makes the man a hero.

MY OPINION

No. Popularity, personality, and skill in a demanding field can make a man admirable. Perhaps he is a  potential hero, but it takes more than a pretty face, good body, and charm to be a hero—in a romance novel or in real life.

REAL HEROES GIVE

A real hero gives unselfishly to help others...often, to protect those in harm's way.

Most people don't think about the heroes in their own family, but I think you should look no farther than your own father, grandfather, brothers, etc. to find heroes.

Does your dad work hard at a thankless job to give his children a better life? Far better to idolize a man like that than some hip hop artist or bad boy football star.

Real heroes give. They sacrifice—often for strangers. Sometimes that sacrifice is the ultimate one that claims the hero's life. Want to find real heroes? Visit a fire station or a police station. These men (women too, but I'm discussing only men in today's post) put their lives on the line every day of their lives to save others.

Doctors and nurses who volunteer for Doctors Without Borders are real heroes. Many members of the medical profession volunteer in free clinics and in countries where villagers never see a doctor.

My doctor does this. Dentists do the same, providing care for the poorest of people who have little access to quality care. My dentist also does this.

Volunteers who who work in poor villages and countries to bring people the basic necessities that we take for granted like clean water—they're heroes.

Every year people volunteer to dig wells in places where the nearest water source might be a creek or a river miles away.

Soldiers who protect and serve that we might have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are heroes. National cemeteries are full of these heroes who have given their lives in every war and conflict.

REAL HEROES: INSPIRATION FOR FICTIONAL HEROES

If you read romance, you know how popular the military and law enforcement heroes are.

Why are they so appealing to readers? Because they are unselfish and protective of others. In several books, I've created heroes with those backgrounds.

Is a romance novel hero vastly different from a real life hero?

Maybe the romance hero is a little better looking and has six-pack abs rather than love handles, but the qualities of protectiveness and unselfishness exist in both the romance novel hero and the real life hero.

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

Romance heroes, like romance novel heroes, are not perfect, but they possess the same undeniably admirable characteristics of real life heroes—they protect and serve. That's my opinion. What do you think?
