January and New Beginnings

For January's Romancing the Weekend posts, the theme is New Beginnings.

I chose this because the first month of each year seems to be the time when everyone wants to start over and create better habits in order to have a better life.

Today, I'd like to give you a heaping spoonful of inspiration. Maybe you can arm yourself with the ones that really speak to you. Read them when your motivation is lagging.

“The beginning is always today.” —Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

“A fresh start. A new chapter in life waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced, and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this transformative year of delight and self-discovery.” —Sarah Ban Breathnach

“I hope you realize that every day is a fresh start for you. That every sunrise is a new chapter in your life waiting to be written.” —Juansen Dizon

“Be willing to be a beginner every single morning.” ―Meister Eckhart

“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go they merely determine where you start.” —Nido Qubein

“No matter how hard the past is, you can always begin again.” —Catherine Pulsifer

TAKEAWAY TRUTH

I like what Dolly Parton once said, “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” You've got a whole year stretched before you. Now's your chance. Go for it!
