Infographic Contest Now Open

I received a request from Top My Grades, sponsor of an infographics contest, to publicize their contest on SlingWords.

What Is An Infographic

Authors use infographics all the time. Some of us call them teasers or memes, or perhaps graphic teaser.

In actuality, an infographic combines a graphic image and text. We authors try to make them visually appealing, hoping they compel someone to check out the book promoted by the infographic. Many authors use Canva, Vectr, FotoJet, or digital illustration software which is what I use.

Here's the official definition. Infographics make complex information eye catching, shareable and easily digestible. Most importantly, they play a crucial role in the increasingly visual world of marketing.

Since infographics are increasingly important in our digital world, it follows that there would be a contest for students who are learning to create them.
