Summer Thought

My thought for the day? It's hot. Yep. We've had triple digits for several days.

Here's a lyrical quotation about summer.

"I walk without flinching through the burning cathedral of the summer. My bank of wild grass is majestic and full of music. It is a fire that solitude presses against my lips." ~Violette Leduc, Mad in Pursuit

I love the phrase burning cathedral. The whole passage just sings.

Takeaway Truth

I think I'll go fry an egg on the sidewalk. Happy August, everyone!
