Happy Independence Day & Happy Reading

Today, just about everyone in America is celebrating Independence Day. I am grateful and appreciative of all those who have served our country from Colonial days to present day.

The 4 F's of Celebration

We celebrate with family, friends, food, and fun. Family and friends gather to feast on barbeque, smoked brisket, baked beans, potato salad, watermelon, ice cream, cakes, gallons of sweet tea, and so much more.

The fun part is touch football, softball, pitching horseshoes, cranking the ice cream churn, playing card games, and board games while we talk about what's been happening in our lives.

When we're all full and tired, we drift into watching movies or napping or reading. You might get lucky and manage a little of all three.
