Short and Sweet: Literary Vs. Commercial Fiction

It's one of those weeks. Again.

That means, I'm publishing Short and Sweet Posts.

Today, let's succinctly tackle the literary versus commercial fiction conundrum.

Jerry Jenkins, co-author of the hugely successful  Left Behind book series that also sold to the movies said this about the subject.

"I know I'm never going to be revered as some classic writer. I don't claim to be C. S. Lewis. The literary-type writers, I admire them. I wish I was smart enough to write a book that's hard to read, you know?"

Takeaway Truth

Writing any book is hard work. It's exhausting creating something that exists only in the brain. Whatever you write, be proud of it. There's an audience for every kind of writing.
