Conspicuous Absence

I have been conspicuously absent from the scene. I thought I'd let you know why.

I was at my daughter's house the last week in April while her darling hubby was out of town on a business trip. I'm her main helper since she's trying to rehab from being a chronic pain patient.

To make a long story short, I was carrying a tray with cups of hot tea upstairs to her when I tripped over a step (yes, I was really tired) and went flying. Not in a Supergirl kind of way.

I hit my head on a wrought iron spindle and totally messed up left arm, left leg from the knee down, and the right leg.

The good news is that nothing was concussed or broken. The bad news is that my left knee and has been swollen to the size of a grapefruit. Then there's the pain there and in left arm.

Since April 29, I have been able to walk very little. No driving. No computer.

Today I was a little better so I started trying to catch up on some things. I think I'll probably be in the recliner with the laptop for a while yet which is inconvenient but doable. More good news is that I'm getting better every day.

Takeaway Truth

Time heals all wounds--even those caused by exhaustion and dumb accidents.
