Thursday3Some: The Garden Series Box Set by Cynthia Wicklund

Just in time for Independence Day reading, I bring you an entire box set to grab. That's right. The Thursday3Some spotlight is shining on my very good friend Cynthia Wicklund and her Garden Series Box Set.

Regency Historical author Cynthia Wicklund is a Romance Writers of America Golden Heart finalist who wrote her heart out in book after book, yet never captured a traditional publishing contract.

Not because her books weren't good, but because they were different, not easily pigeon-holed. Cynthia embraced self-publishing when Smashwords and Kindle made it easy, and she never looked back.

When did you write the books comprising The Garden Series Box Set?

I wrote In The Garden of Temptation in the 90's. The other 3 books followed over the next 10 years.

What was the spark that gave you the story idea?

You know, I'm not really sure anymore. I love Regency Historicals, and I wanted to try my hand at writing one. It was an idea of many, and that's where I started. Judith McNaught was my inspiration, as she was one of the first romance authors to successfully transition from the traditional Regency to the Historical Regency.

Why do readers buy The Garden Series?

In the Garden of Temptation, the first book in the series, is a standalone free offering, and I'd like to believe it leads readers to my other stories. Temptation has now been downloaded well over a half a million times worldwide.

Another answer to this question might be the wonderful reviews readers have left all over the internet. Here are links to just a few:
